Sport-in-a-Box challenges youth to act outside of the box and to turn their ideas into actions. Thinking 'outside' the box, what would be an object that you would want to share with someone from a different community?
The greatest common denominator in humanity is that we all want to be heard. We want to make a contribution and we want our voice to count. Sport-in-a-Box uses the power of sport as a tool for allowing that voice to be heard. Using the idea or ‘particip-action’ we encourage all youth to participate in series of Sport-in-a-Box step-by-step activities. The culmination of these activities will be a group challenge of creating a physical box and putting objects in that box that represent the importance of sport, health and physical education.

If you have grown up in downtown Toronto, Montreal or Vancouver what would you want to share with someone the same age as you growing up in Iqualuit, Nunavut or Smithers, British Columbia? Sport-in-a-Box believes that one common denominator in us all is that sport unites. So get up and walk, run or bike and share your ideas with youth from across Canada by making a contribution to Sport-in-a-Box.
2006 is the trial year for Sport-in-a-Box in which we have identified 14 diverse regions across Canada. This year we will see up to 14 boxes traveling between their twinned regions... Keep on the lookout for yours!
